After breakfast drive to city of Taj Mahal – Agra. Agra is set on a bend in the sacred Yamuna River and had a strategic defensive position throughout its history. Both the Taj and the highly impressive Red Fort overlook the river, as do have several significant tombs and mausoleums from the Mughal period. The Taj is the undoubted highlight, a magnificent structure that easily lives up to its exalted reputation. It should be the must- visit city in your itinerary when you are travelling for the first time in the country.
Arrive and check in at the hotel. Later you will be visiting Agra Fort - Now let's move on to the following architectural gem, Agra Fort, which was built in 1573 by Mughal Emperor Akbar with the help of 4,000 laborers over the course of eight years. The Mughal Empire's headquarters, Agra Fort, is built of red sandstone. The Sheesh Mahal, Moti Mahal, Jehangir's Palace, and Khas Mahal are some of the most well- known sights in Agra Fort that will leave you spellbound. Later make a visit of Taj Mahal. Taj Mahal is seen as an ode to adoration and an intense tribute by the Emperor to his deceased wife. The Taj Mahal's ability to shift color throughout the day is an intriguing feature. It looks to be light pink at sunrise, sparkling white in the midday and bronzishorange as the sun sets in the evening. The Taj appears to be light bluish in color in the late nights.
If time permits visit Itmad-Ud-Daulah is a Mughal mausoleum located on the western bank of the Yamuna River near the Yamuna Bridge Railway Station in Agra. The tomb is also known as the Jewel Box or Baby Taj as it looks like a smaller version of the Taj Mahal.
Overnight at the hotel.
